The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is a amaz fantasy movie with adventure. I loved the environment that is set in Bilbo´s hobbit hole. I think it accurately depicts the first part of the book, which is super important in my opinion, and even as a stand alone movie it would still be awesome. I like how when Bilbo encountered Gollum, they got in all the riddles that there was in the chapter of the book, Riddles in the dark. Overall great movie if you liked the books, or if you love high fantasy stories.

Star Wars is a timeless classic fantasy and adventure movie. Empire strikes back is another Star Wars movie with great new characters like yoda lando and boba. My favourite scene in the film is where Yoda uses the force to pick up Luke's ship the music in that scene made me cry no joke. The duel with luke and vader is very intense every hit with the saber you feel it definitely better than the first films duel.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl one of a best fantasy movie to watch. Everything about this movie is completely stunning and nothing makes me feel more alive than the locations, the story, the effects and most of all the musical score. This movie has got one of the greatest musical scores that could ever be created for a movie like this one, the adventure, the feeling, the spirit, everything. There is no pirate like the one and only Captain Jack Sparrow.
-
8.The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
IMDb Rating: 8.8/10 (over 1.6M votes)
Release Year:2002
Duration:2h 59m
Director: Peter Jackson
The Two Towers is 2nd part of The Lord of the Rings. Peter Jackson has done a really great job. The story picks up from the part where Gandalf was attacked, except this time it happens from the other point of view. This not only helps the viewer remember an incident that was important from the previous movie, but also makes it interesting by not showing the exact same shots again. While previously we believed Gandalf to be just a weak old man, over here he turned out to be a strong wizard. This is the reason why it paid off to see him return as Gandalf the White.

Monsters, Inc is one of favorite movies to watch because I was so entranced by all of the colorful monsters in the amazing monster world known as Monstropolis. The characters, the musical score, the song in the end, the story, the feelings, the intensity, the laughs, the truth behind the huge business of the whole city, everything about this film amazing. Mike and Sulley are yet another one of the most incredible and fearless pairs of best friends I've ever seen, sure they may seem a bit hesitant about a few new things they come across but they still march through them because they're best friends
-
11.Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
IMDb Rating: 8.1/10 (over 882k votes)
Release Year:2011
Duration: 2h 10m
Director:David Yates
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is one of the best movie in the history of the world. It is really gripping and had me captivated from start to finish. I had read the book first, so I knew the plot, but somehow seeing it on a screen with real people playing the parts made it all the more powerful. I think the fact that a thing so unrealistic could be made so intense is an amazing feat, it sort of makes you forget that this could never happen really as you get lost in this world of magic and terror and all-round amazingness. The actors were perfect for their roles and this, combined with J.K. Rowling's writing and David Yate's directing, made this the ultimate movie
-
12.Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace
IMDb Rating: 6.5/10 (over 811k votes)
Release Year:1999
Duration:2h 16m
Director: George Lucas
We think The Phantom Menace is a great adventure/fantasy movie with a fair amount of action that is nicely spread out from the introductory scene to the escape from Naboo to the pod racing on Tatooine and back to the battle in Naboo. It has good acting from the entire cast with characters that serve their purposes well , even JarJar with the light humor. The introduction of a very striking but mysterious new villian in Darth Maul was well done.
-
13.Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
IMDb Rating: 7.6/10 (over 797k votes)
Release Year:2005
Duration:2h 20m
Director:George Lucas
There are two things together that can make a movie good emotion and impact and the structure, if you have one or the other only the movie is a mess. A movie that’s well structured with good pacing and narrative beats can’t work without there characters and their actors and the visuals of the movie that sell the emotion and impact. Like you need bones to give structure to a body but you need the body to move the bones. This movie succeeds at having good raw emotion with stellar visuals even it has a very much flawed Skeleton. The characters are great every time I watch this movie I hope things will be different, that anakin follows windu’s orders cause you can see in anakin eyes that he’s still struggling and you can see the good in him.

17.Thor: Ragnarok
IMDb Rating: 7.9/10 (over 759k votes)
Release Year:2017
Duration:2h 10m
Director:Taika Waititi
Thor: Ragnarok is one of best fantasy/supperhero/comedy movie of all time. Though a really odd choice to make Ragnarok a comedy seeing that it deals with some pretty heavy material - the final destruction of Asgard, Thor’s battle with Hella and the fall of the Valkryies but Taikia’s such a talented director that he makes it all work. I was almost sure that fellow Kiwi Jermaine Clement would make a perfect character in this film but alas. Jeff Goldblum steals the movie completely as the Grand Master and Cate Blanchett is superb as the jilted sister Hella - Mark Ruffalo really gets Hulk to flex some comedy muscles with some great one liners too.
-
18. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
IMDb Rating: 7.6/10 (over 789k votes)
Release Year:2001
Duration:2h 32m
Director:Chris Columbus
Harry Potter is one of the few franchises that I never gave a chance as a kid. Fantasy just wasn't my interest as a kid. I was more into Science-fiction, Comic book, action/adventure, comedy genres. I just thought fantasy as a bland, and slow genre with cliche characters and creatures. Now, as I got older, the more I got interested in movies, and the more I understood them, the more interested I was into watching/reading Harry Potter. When I finally decided to give it a chance, and look more deep into it. And when I did, I was mind boggled. J.K Rowling put her heart, and soul into the story, and characters.
-
19.Star Wars: Attack of the Clones

Attack of the Clones is 2nd part of star wars series. This movie is very entertaining and a must see for all Star Wars fans. This movie definitely has more romance than any of the other movies of the series. There is also sort of a mystery aspect to it, as Obi-Wan goes on a search to find out who tried to assassinate Padme. A few new planets are introduced, and some revisited. We see Anakin experience his first real touch with the dark side, which is a prelude of what is to come. This is also our first glimpse at Yoda showing us his reputation of a warrior.

Dead Man's Chest is one of a best movie of Pirates of the Caribbean series. The old characters are just as you remember them, The new characters are wonderfully colorful and memorable, and the bad guys are delightfully evil and cunning. I loved the plot and loved the way it played out. Captain Jack Sparrow has one of the best introductions in movie history. The special effects were very good and everything looked realistic.

-
24.Thor: The Dark World
IMDb Rating: 6.8/10 (over 688k votes)
Release Year:2013
Duration:1h 52m
Director:Alan Taylor
Thor: The Dark World is excellent fantasy/supperhero movie. The Dark World offers plenty of action, some really funny moments, great performances, and per MCU custom, sets the stage for more adventures to come. In the years since this movie came out, it's garnered a reputation for being among the weaker entries in the MCU. Personally, I never really got the hate. Probably because I really enjoyed it in theaters, and well, what can I say? I really like the theater experiences.
-
25. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
IMDb Rating: 7.8/10 (over 669k votes)
Release Year:2013
Duration: 2h 41m
Director:Peter Jackson
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is great fantasy movie. And my only complaint is that pretty much everything is CGI where as Lord of the Rings used a full cast makeup costumes and it made it look real especially the orcs If they do another trilogy in the future please spend more time on making it look real rather than the overuse of CGI I gave it 5 stars because I personally enjoyed the movie including the dragon, the music, the dwarves, the elves definitely get more lore and screen time which was super cool. Legolas is in the movie which is cool to get to see a younger version of him he had some great scenes in this movie that make watching LOTR next even better.

Wonder Womam is everything you want in a superhero movie. One of the first superheroes ever created in comics and the very first female superhero, Wonder Woman is among the most recognizable superheroes in history. It is outrageously bold and confident, insanely fun and thrilling, powerfully dramatic and delightfully amusing, all rolled into one epic superhero outing. It sports some of the greatest action scenes and visuals of any superhero movie to date, many of which have been saved from the marketing in order to serve as delicious surprises when you finally see the movie. The cast are magnificent, especially Gal Gadot’s lead turn as the world’s first female superhero. And director Patty Jenkins has instantly proven herself one of the genre’s finest filmmakers.
-
28.Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
IMDb Rating: 7.1/10 (over 657k votes)
Release Year:2007
Duration:2h 49m
Director:Gore Verbinski
The threequel in the Pirates franchise pits Jack Sparrow, Barbossa and the rest of the worlds’ pirates against Lord Beckett, Davy Jones, the British Empire and the East India Trading Company in a final showdown. Once again Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, Bill Nighy deliver outstanding performances. Tom Hollander as Cutler Beckett also deserves props, as does Keira Knightley who was allowed to shine more in this film. The final action sequence, while long, does provide excellent action and a very satisfying ending for all the characters. The special effects were well done and hold up to age well. I appreciate the world building that takes place in this film, but it does add length to the movie that might not have been necessary. This film is a fun summer blockbuster that I think is worth your time.
-
29. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
IMDb Rating: 7.4/10 (over 642k votes)
Release Year:2002
Duration:2h 41m
Director:Chris Columbus
A great sequel of Harry Potter. If you liked the first one then you're going to love this! There's a darker atmosphere this time around and more characters are introduced including Gilderoy Lockhart , Draco Malfoy's father, Lucius , Ron's father, Arthur, and the mysterious Dobby the house elf. The movie sticks closely to the novel, but as in the last movie we miss some of those scenes where we start to learn a little more about the characters, especially the hate-hate relationship between Harry and Professor Snape.
-
30.Life of Pi
IMDb Rating: 7.9/10 (over 636k votes)
Release Year:2012
Duration:2h 7m
Director:Ang Lee
"Believing in everything at the same time is the same as not believing in anything at all". Ang Lee's Life Of Pi is a magical, fantastical therapy for the eyes. If somehow you aren't pleased with the movie, your eyes sure will be. Such is the inexplicable beauty of those imagery. At the very least, the film is a visual extravaganza. But thankfully, it's much more than that. The visuals are merely the device through which various kinds of emotions are communicated to the audience. I really liked the movie and felt a connection to the otherworldly quality of it. The distinction between magic realism and pure fantasy is bridged quite impressively such that it becomes difficult to identify which is which. This, alongwith it's themes on religion, beliefs, ideologies, spirituality and love made it much more complicated adding layers of depth than how simple it seems on the surface.
-
31. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
IMDb Rating: 7.9/10 (over 641k votes)
Release Year:2004
Duration:2h 22m
Director:Alfonso Cuarón
The importance of The Prisoner of Azkaban to the Harry Potter film series cannot be overstated. This is the movie that established the creative direction and formula for the films that followed, as the series faced a crucial issue post-Chamber of Secrets. How does one adapt increasingly lengthy books into satisfying feature films? The solution: everything that is told from Harry’s point of view or that directly affects his character goes in, everything else is fair game for being dropped. But it wasn’t only the POV rule that Azkaban established going forward; it was also the freedom to get creative—really creative. Director Alfonso Cuaron significantly altered the look and feel of Harry Potter without completely removing what Chris Columbus had built in the prior two films, while at the same time expanding the depth of the characters and, well, getting weird. From the Knight Bus sequence to the Hogwarts choir (plus frogs) to the Dementors, Prisoner of Azkaban is absolutely tactile—you can feel this world.
-
32.Star Wars:The Last Jedi
IMDb Rating: 6.9/10 (over 637k votes)
Release Year:2017
Duration:2h 32m
Director:Rian Johnson
Steve Yedlin's cinematography is a work of art, a modern day masterpiece, creating a spectacle out of destruction and mayhem, as his camera forms a beautiful imagery out of the rubbles of machines and blood. I can guarantee when you'll leave the hall there'll be visuals which will haunt your minds for a very long time. Editor Bob Ducsay gives the film a certain pace which makes each and every moment exciting, especially with his use of quick transitions and shot rhythms through out the film. And yes one shouldn't the forget the efforts of Rian Johnson who not only directed the film as he painted the strokes of his imagination on the screen, but also with his screen writing skills was able to chalk out this spectacular and phenomenal cinematic journey and make good use of the characters created by George Lucas.
-

The Hobbit trilogy is one of my favorites and I highly recommend the whole series but especially Battle of the Five Armies. The quality in this movie is great and the animation along with colors makes you feel like you are in a different world. The characters in The Hobbit are one of my favorite things about the film. The characters are all unique, interesting, and they have such strong personalities. The characters go through many challenges which will keep you engaged throughout the film. The flow of this movie is great and very easy and entertaining to follow along with.

First and foremost, no other superhero movie has really ever looked like this before — the colors, imagery, and visual concepts are big and bold, bright and stunning, taking us back and forth from complimentary and contrasting surface-world locales to breathtaking undersea settings. Atlantis is like Avatar underwater, if the Na’vi had advanced sci-fi technology. -
37.The Mummy
IMDb Rating: 7.1/10 (over 435k votes)
Release Year:1999
Duration:2h 5m
Director:Stephen Sommers
The Mummy is one of my favourite movie in fantasy, adventure and Horror combination. I loved ancient mythology, particularly Egyptian and Greek, and this movie is all about that. It's a straight forward action adventure, similar to Indiana Jones, with plenty of action, humour and supernatural powers. I have seen the original Mummy from the 1930's as well and the 1999 film is called a remake but it's not really, it's very different and much more exciting.

39. Alice in Wonderland
IMDb Rating: 6.4/10 (over 419k votes)
Release Year:2010
Duration:1h 48m
Director:Tim Burton
Alice in Wonderland is an engaging and visually stunning adaptation of the 1865 Lewis Carrol novel. While it definitely is ambitious, and succeeds in entertaining, this adaptation to the novel. The script is great, but it is witless, has too many clichés, and trite sayings in it and therefore lacks substance. Acting from Johnny Depp and others was quite good, but there are several factors that make this movie below great. The fantastic cinematography and visual effects such as the clever use of green screen and phenomenal computer generated imagery.

47. How to Train Your Dragon 2
IMDb Rating: 7.8/10 (over 340k votes)
Release Year:2014
Duration: 1h 42m
Director:Dean DeBlois
One of those rare sequels that are arguably better than the original. How to Train your Dragon 2 expands upon the characters we’ve come to love while also bringing in some great new ones, and by the way Drago is probably the best villain in this entire franchise! Also the animation here is still greatly stunning. Also this movie seems to have a more darker tone compared to the original, like with Kung Fu Panda 2. Like its predecessor this entry is great and is in my opinion the best film in the trilogy!

Click starring adam sandler is a hilarious movie akin to Absolutely Anything and very ahead of it’s time. The movie has a great concept and taste in humor. There is an absolutely impactful and heart shattering scene and others that make me think about my own life and family. The way time progression is crazy genius with the remote settings, features and a few hilarious HUD jokes.
